Fisherman Rescued From Marsh Area After Fall From Boat

Baltimore County Fire Department reported crews responded to a water rescue involving a fisherman who fell out of his boat and became stuck in the mud in a shallow marsh area on Friday at 11:15 a.m.

Responding personnel used CalTopo mapping software to precisely coordinate the locations of the victim and the 911 caller.

The Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine reached the area and successfully rescued the fisherman.

Crews brought the fisherman safely to the dock, where medical personnel evaluated him for injuries. They also recovered his boat and returned it to the dock.

Baltimore County Police Department and Maryland Department of Resources assisted in this incident.
