Harford Hills Elementary School sent out a letter to parents on Monday informing them of an incident at the school.
According to the school principal, a student allegedly wrote “highly inappropriate and threatening statements” in a notebook.
Those statements contained messages of self-harm and a list of students and staff members that the student wanted to harm.
The letter stated the student was removed from the classroom and the School Resource Officer was informed.
Baltimore County Police did a thorough investigation and determined this was not a credible threat.
The student is receiving appropriate services and will receive”serious consequences” aligned with the BCPS Student Handbook.
There was a similar incident reported a Sparrows Point Middle School where police reported a student created an alleged “hit list” a few weeks ago.
