Man Killed After Working on Vehicle in Dundalk

Baltimore County Police reported a man was killed in Dundalk after a car fell off a jack following a motor vehicle crash on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the intersection of Jaydee Avenue and German Hill Road for a motor vehicle crash that involved a pedestrian injury.

Preliminarily, detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team determined 54-year-old Dayton Balliet Jr. was lying on the ground working on a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser that was on a jack on Saturday, Dec. 2 at approximately 11 a.m., when a Toyota Sienna attempting to park behind the Chrysler struck it, which pushed the Chrysler off its jack.

Mr. Balliet was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Crash team detectives are overseeing this investigation, which remains ongoing.
