Baltimore County Police reported a pedestrian was traveling on Merritt Boulevard on a skateboard and was involved in a fatal crash on Wednesday morning.
After an investigation, police said the man was struck by a 2001 Toyota Tacoma at the intersection of Merritt Boulevard and Westfield Road in Dundalk around 5:45 a.m.
The man was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Jose Romero-Alvarez.
Following the crash, the driver of the Tacoma did remain on the scene. The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is still investigating the circumstances surrounding this crash.
