Baltimore County Fire Department reported a townhouse fire in Middle River on Tuesday morning.
Fire crews arrived to find fire showing from a two-story townhouse in the 400 block of Kosoak Road around 7:12 a.m. on Jan. 6.
An adult and her two children suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for care.
A dog was found deceased in the home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“This incident is a powerful reminder of the strength of our communities,” said Baltimore County Fire Chief Joseph Dixon.
“Before our fire and EMS crews arrived, neighbors acted without hesitation to help a mother and her children escape a dangerous situation. I want to thank these residents for their courage and selflessness and commend our crews for their swift response in extinguishing the fire and providing medical support.”
The Baltimore County Fire Department strongly recommends residents have working smoke alarms throughout the home.
