Baltimore County Fire Department reported a 76-year-old woman died after a Parkville fire on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Julia Ann Anderson of the 1700 block of Weston Avenue of Parkville.
Fire crews were called to Weston Avenue and found fire in the basement of the dwelling around 7:19 a.m.
A resident advised crews a tenant was still in the basement and immediately began a search.
According to BCFD, a resident was found in cardiac arrest and removed her from the home.
Fire & Emergency Medical Technicians administered lifesaving efforts. She was transported to the hospital and later succumbed to her injuries.
This is the first fire fatality in 2026 in Baltimore County.
