The Baltimore County Police Department responded to a reported pedestrian crash that occurred near the intersection of East Joppa Road and Loch Raven Boulevard on Sunday, May 7, at approximately 3:15 a.m.
Members of the Baltimore County Crash Team have determined that 53-year-old Earl Preston III was struck by a 2018 Acura TLX traveling eastbound on East Joppa Road as he was attempting to cross Joppa Road just east of the crosswalk.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the Acura remained at the scene.
The Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team continues to investigate this incident and the circumstances surrounding it.
