The following release is from Baltimore County Police after the Watersedge homicide on Monday.
Homicide Unit continue investigating the circumstances surrounding a homicide that occurred on Monday, July 7.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to the 8200 block of Bullneck Road in Dundalk for reports of a shooting.
Once on scene, officers located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body; he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was identified as 35-year-old James Skarda IV.
Another adult male, believed to be the suspect in this case, was located in the area of Dundalk Avenue and Liberty Parkway, sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as 37-year-old Ricky Stem.
