Baltimore County Police officers are investigating an assault that occurred at a Walmart in the 100 block of Carroll Island Road in Middle River on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the location following reports of shots fired around 5:30 p.m.
Police determined that a firearm was discharged while being used to assault a person during a physical altercation that involved a group of juveniles.
Two individuals sustained minor injuries: one person, who was being assaulted, suffered injuries to the upper body, while the second person had a minor injury to their lower extremity.
It is currently unclear whether this injury was caused by a bullet graze or a piece of debris.
Officers detained seven juveniles between the ages of 12 and 15. following the incident.
The search for additional juveniles involved in this case is ongoing.
