Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Essex early Sunday.
Officers responded to the 2200 block of Holly Neck Road at approximately 12:50 a.m. for a single vehicle crash that involved a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu.
Detectives determined the Malibu was traveling westbound when it left the roadway and struck at least one tree.
The driver, 18-year-old Austin Lautenschlager, and a rear passenger, 19-year-old David Santos III, were both pronounced deceased on the scene. This crash is still under investigation.
