North Point Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department reported
Marine Emergency Team 26 responded alongside Marine Emergency Team 21, Baltimore City Fire Department, U.S. Coast Guard Sector NCR, Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police, and other partner agencies were called after explosion aboard a cargo ship outbound near the Key Bridge.
Crews assisted with fire suppression effort, supported victim recovery and medical access and handled the logistics and transporting crews or equipment as needed
This ship was safely escorted by tugs to an open area outside the main channel and turned over to the U.S. Coast Guard for further handling.
