The high school football season started in eastern Baltimore County with wins by Chesapeake, Kenwood, Patapsco, Parkville and Sparrows Point. Local powerhouses Dundalk and Perry Hall started off the season with a loss, along with Eastern Tech. Here are the week one results:
Parkville 20 SEED 14
The Knights defeated SEED at home on Friday. The Knights will look to go 2-0 at Franklin next week.
Kenwood 14 North County 10
Kenwood won their first game in 2024 on Week 8, but this year they begin the 2025 season at 1-0 after beating North County at home. Kenwood cornerback Chase Alleyne had an interception return for a touchdown.
The Bluebirds look to go to 2-0 as they play at Loch Reach of Howard County next Friday at 7 p.m.
Sparrows Point 14 Lansdowne 6
The Pointers defeated Lansdowne at home to begin the season 1-0. They host Patapsco this Friday night.
Loch Raven 6 Eastern Tech 0
The Mavericks fall to 0-1 after losing a close game at home to Loch Raven. The Mavericks play at Pikesville next Friday at 6 p.m.
Patapsco 7 Pikesville 6

The Patriots are off to a 1-0 start after defeating Pikesville 7-6. Patapsco plays at Sparrows Point this Friday.
Overlea 20 Frederick Douglass 6
Overlea went down to Prince George’s County to defeat Frederick Douglass. The Falcons start off 1-0 and will play Bel Air next week.
Glen Burnie 33 Perry Hall 19

The Gators lost a lot of talent that took the team to the state semifinals the last two years. They started off 0-1 after losing to Glen Burnie. The Gators were down 33-12 at the half, but couldn’t catch up. Perry Hall will look for their first win at Oakland Mill next Friday.
Bishop McNamara 36 Dundalk
Dundalk football fell to 0-1 after a lost to Bishop McNamara. New Owl coach Chrys Lane will look for his first win after at Mount St. Joes next week.
Chesapeake 22 Western Tech 8
The Bayhawks defeated Western Tech 22-8 to begin the season at 1-0. Chesapeake will look to go 2-0 at Patterson next week.
