Traffic Light to Start at Bucks Schoolhouse Rd in Nottingham

According to Councilman David Marks, a traffic signal at the intersection of Perry Hall Boulevard and Bucks Schoolhouse Road in Nottingham will start service next week. Here is the official release from Mark’s office.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks has announced that BGE will activate the new traffic signal at Perry Hall Boulevard and Bucks Schoolhouse Road during the week of Oct. 20

Eric Endryas, the president of the South Perry Hall Improvement Association, praised the announcement.

“We would like to thank Councilman Marks for his diligent leadership in pushing for this traffic signal, which will greatly improve safety at this intersection,” Endryas commented.  “He has made it a priority, and we are particularly happy the signal will be up and running well before the holiday season.”

Councilman Marks helped secured the funding and sponsored a resolution to indicate the urgency for this signal.

“Motorists using this corridor, including school bus drivers, will have greater peace of mind knowing that this signal is in place,” Marks said.  “I appreciated the constant communication and support from BGE and the Department of Public Works and Transportation.”

Typical procedure is for a new signal to flash for several days before switching to a routine signal.
