The Perry Hall community buried a time capsule on Monday at Gough Park to celebrate its 250 anniversary.

The event was attended by Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, state senators Carl Jackson & J.B. Jennings state delegates Nick Allen, Ryan Nawrocki & Kathy Szeliga, County Councilman David Marks and members of the Perry Hall community.

“What a beautiful afternoon to bury a time capsule,” Marks said.

“Today, the Perry Hall 250 Birthday Committee sent a message to the future.  The time capsule includes artifacts from 2025 donated by schools, churches, Scouting organizations, service groups, and community leaders.  I donated a letter and one of the remaining copies of the Perry Hall history books.”

The time capsule is scheduled to dug up for Perry Hall’s 300th anniversary in 2075.

“What a pleasure it was to join colleagues and community members for the burial of the Perry Hall 250th Anniversary Time Capsule,” Jacksons added.

“This time capsule will be opened in 2075 and it is my sincere hope that its contents inspire future generations of residents to continue the legacy of community that is so prevalent in Perry Hall today. For now, we will continue working hard to make that future bright!
