Fifth District School Board Member Julie Henn announced the Board’s Building and Contracts Committee has recommended approval of the contract to resurface the running track at Perry Hall High School.
“I’ve been advocating for this track resurfacing for a long time, and I’m really pleased to see the project moving forward,” Henn wrote on social media.
Construction of the new track starts in April and is expected to be complete for the start of fall sports in August.
According to Henn, the project includes the milling and resurfacing of long/triple jump runway and pole vault runway and landing area.
The total potential contract value (before contingency): is listed at $725,845.
“Thank you to BCPS Facilities Construction and Improvement, under the leadership of Ms. Leslie Lazzeri, for directing this important work,” Henn added.
“I’ll keep sharing updates as we go. This project matters—it’s important to our students, our student-athletes, and our community.”
