Baltimore County Public Schools will shift to virtual learning tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, and Friday, Jan. 30.
BCPS school have been closed since Monday and announced on Wednesday that schools would reopen on Thursday with a two hour delay but decided to remain closed the rest of the week due to hazardous local road conditions and untreated sidewalks and side roads in many communities.
Virtual learning on inclement weather days occurs on a 2-hour delay schedule for students. Schools have shared their 2-hour delay schedule and instructions directly with families. All activities are canceled.
Central and school administrative offices will open on time on Jan. 29; however, employees are asked to work remotely on Jan. 29.
Offices will open on time on Friday, Jan. 30 and employees are expected to report to their office sites.
On Jan. 29 and 30, “Essential” employees will report on time for their assigned shift or may request to use leave time. “Essential as Needed” employees will report to work as directed or may request to use leave time.
