Sen. Jennings: “US 1 & Bradshaw Road Signal Update”

The following article was released by 7th District Senator J.B. Jennings about repairs to traffic signal at Belair & Bradshaw roads in Kingsville

Here’s the latest on the new traffic signal at the southeast corner of US 1 (northbound) and Bradshaw Road:

* The pedestal supporting the signal meter was previously struck but has now been replaced. Maryland State Highway Administration is working with BGE to have it re-energized.

* The contractor, began work on the signal foundations on Thursday, February 19. Weather permitting, the foundations should be finished by the end of this week.

* Next steps include:
• Installing ground-mounted signs
• Underground trenching
• Connecting hand boxes

* After that, crews will install the signal poles, mast arms, and signal heads, followed by full activation.

The reconstructed signal is expected to be up and running sometime this spring.

I’d like to thank Baltimore County Councilman David Marks for his support and engagement on this project.

I’ll continue to share updates as work progresses.
