Today is the last day of Herman’s Bakery as the Dundalk business announced its closing after 103 years of service to the community.
During the weekend, 6th District Sen. Johnny Ray Salling and Del. Ric Metzgar recognized the Dundalk bakery with a citation.
“What an honor to be a part of history with Mr. Herman at Herman’s Bakery. Thank you for 103 years of the best tasting pastries in town, from the Strawberry Short cakes to marshmallow donuts. Every year I would get 4 dozen donuts to bring to Annapolis,” Salling wrote.
“Everyone would look forward to having a coffee with a Herman’s Bakery donut! Thank you again for many years of service to our communities in Baltimore and Dundalk.”
