Patapsco students honored by scholastic art & writing program

Baltimore County Public Schools students earned 21 National Medals in the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers’ prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Program, the nation’s longest running arts recognition program for students in Grades 7-12.

This year, more than 110,000 teens from the U.S. and Canada participated in the awards program, entering more than 335,000 works for adjudication. Of those, fewer than 3,000 works received National Medals.

“We are also so appreciative of the many ways that their teachers and families have nurtured their growth. Our school system is fully committed to arts education as an integral part of each student’s overall academic experience and  personal development.”
