Salling announces funding for library, playgrounds & projects

Sixth District Sen. Johnny Ray Salling announced his state bond initiatives for the 2026 session. They include:

$300K towards the contruction of a new facility for Essex Library.

$100k towards a new playground at Sandalwood Elementary in Essex.

$50K towards facility and renovation improvements at Watersedge Park in Dundalk.

$50K towards enhancements at the Maryland Aerospace Heritage Center at Martin State Airport in Middle River.

$25K towards ADA accessible playground at Charlesmont Elementary in Dundalk.

$400K towards renovations and upgrades at Renaissance Park in Essex.

“What a great year for working together and helping our communities to build and restore our Recreation and Parks, libraries, Schools and Glenn Martin Airport,” Salling said.
