Perry Hall High School hires first flag football coach

Flag football has grown fast in Baltimore County. BCPS announced two weeks ago that the school system is starting a Girls high school flag football league in the fall. Then MPSSAA announced this week that flag football is becoming a sanctioned sport in the fall too.

With less than four months before the start of new sport, schools have to prepare fast.

Perry Hall High School wasted no time and announced Ammy Meagher as the school’s first varsity head girls’ flag football coach.

According to Perry Hall High School Athetics, Meagher graduated from Notre Dame Prep in 2019 and attended Elon University.

“She was a leader within the school’s intramural flag football program as quarterback of the team,” the school said.

“She graduated in 2023 and was hired at Perry Hall as a Social Studies teacher. Coach Meagher is excited to bring this experience to coaching girls’ flag football at Perry Hall.”
