À Baltimore County Public Schools is beginning national search for a new superintendent after Myriam Rogers announced her retirement at the end of the school year.
Public forums will be held from May 18-21, 2026.
The east side session is set for Wednesday, May 20. Red House Run Elementary School — Cafeteria, 1717 Weyburn Rd. in Rosedale.
The BCPS staff session is from 4:30 – 6 p.m.
The public staff session is from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
The virtual session is set for Thursday, May 21

The meetings will be hosted by Ray and Associates LLC, the executive search firm.
The forums will give BCPS parents, staff, students, and community members an opportunity to identify the educational priorities and leadership qualities they would like to see in the next superintendent.
Members of the community are also encouraged to fill out the online survey
The survey is an opportunity for you to share your desired leadership qualities of the next superintendent and let prospective candidates know your thoughts, concerns, and hopes for BCPS. The Board, working in partnership with the search firm, will utilize survey responses to recruit, identify, and evaluate candidates.
