Amanda L. Henning, owner of The Comfy Cup in Essex, was recently recognized in the 125th Annual edition of “Who’s Who in America” for 2026-27.
The award is limited to individuals who possess professional integrity, demonstrate outstanding achievement in their respective fields and have made innumerable contributions to society.
A graduate of Kenwood High School and Salisbury University, Ms. Henning has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in History. She earned a master’s degree from University of Maryland Global Campus in Information Technology Project Management.
She opened her coffee shop in September of 2025 with popular coffee rails, hot and icy coffee selections, gluten-free options, and other specialty items,
Since its opening, the Comfy Cup has hosted numerous community events such as Second Fridays, Second Tuesday Book Club Nights, Open Mic Nights, Cake Decorating Parties, Plant Bingos, Daddy-Daughter Tea Parties, Meet the Oriole with Oriole Fan Favorites Mike Bordick and Al Bumbry, etc.
Henning doesn’t know who nominated her for this honor but is grateful for the nomination. She is allowed to use the “Who’s Who” Logo on her website.
