All lanes reopen on 695 in Sparrows Point

The Maryland Transportation Authority announced I-695 has reopened to two lanes in each direction north of Bear Creek in the Sparrows Point area.

This traffic pattern will remain in place throughout the construction for the Key Bridge Rebuild.

• The I-695 Outer Loop will reopen to 2 lanes of travel north of Bear Creek and throughout the project area.

• The I-695 Inner Loop will reopen to 2 lanes of travel from Exit 43 until just past the MD 157 (Peninsula Boulevard) on-ramp.

• There will only be one travel lane in each direction across Bear Creek.

• Ongoing Bear Creek bridge maintenance will take place during the daytime hours and noise may be heard in the project area.

• Access to I-695 Outer Loop from Broening Highway remains open via exiting turnaround; there is no stopping or parking along the loop road.
