Sparrows Point used a strong second half in a comeback win over Patapsco 34-16.
The Pointers were led by quarterback Cody Green’s three touchdown passes and a strong ground game.
Brooks Tuohy had over 100 yards rushing and Ian Wolfe had 50 yards on the ground for Sparrows Point. Both had a rushing touchdown.
Patapsco’s defense did a good job of keeping Green off balance in the first half but he got into a rhyme in the second half.
Two of Green’s three touchdowns came in the fourth quarter.
Paxton Clark caught two of those touchdown passes.
Patapsco was able to win the field position in the first half and took advantage of Sparrows Point mistakes to take a 16-7 lead.
The Pointers had multiple penalties on a drive that force a 3rd and 30 and eventually a punt.
Wilson Smith’s 40 yard punt return gave Patapsco the ball at the Pointer 14.
Senior Patriot quarterback Wyatt Perry would score a touchdown three plays later. Patapsco missed the extra point but got a second chance when Sparrows Point was offsides. Patapsco made them pay with a 2-point conversion and a 8-7 lead.
Patriot freshman Jeremiah Carlos recovered a Pointer fumble at the Sparrows Point 29-yard-line. Both teams traded punts but the ball remained deep in Sparrows Point territory.
Smith broke off a 20-yard run to step up Perry’s second touchdown and a 16-7 Patapsco lead.
Green led a scoring drive before the half and Tuohy scored a critical Sparrows Point touchdown to cut the deficit to 16-15 at halftime.

Then the Pointer defense dominated in the second half.
Tyler Palmer-Plienis recovered a fumble to set up a Ian Wolfe 27-yard touchdown run on the next play.
Palmer-Plienis also had three sacks on the day and he joined teammates Jaxson Kreiner and Macin McNew by sniffing out a Patapsco fake punt.
Sparrows Point went undefeated in the regular season in 2025 and are 2-0 this season.
The Pointers play at Chesapeake next week.
Patapsco drops to 0-2 and plays at Southern next week.
