Community leaders and staff from the Department of Recreation and Parks celebrated the completion of the new playground at Kingsville Park.
The 156 county-owned playgrounds in Baltimore County are currently being replaced.
Fifth District County Councilman David Marks said in eastern Baltimore County, playgrounds have been updated so far over the past two years at the Andrea Avenue, Belmont Park, Ridgely Avenue, Loreley, Oakhurst, Honeygo Regional Park, and Eastern Regional Park properties, with plans so far for new equipment at Seneca Harbor, Tapu/Beldale Court, and Woodcroft Park.
“I would like to thank County Executive Klausmeier and the Department of Recreation and Parks for all their support,” Baltimore County Marks said.
“Also, a thank you to Senator Jennings and Delegates Nawrocki and Szeliga for their support from the state side, and our Kingsville Recreation Council volunteers for the manpower in running our programs. We appreciate the partnerships they provide.”
