President Donald J. Trump and local leaders were at Sparrows Point to announce Anduril industries is coming to Tradepoint on Tuesday.
Anduril industries is investing $3.7 billion that is expected to create over 3,000 jobs.
This investment will create a submarine shipyard facility and manufacture autonomous surface vessels and underwater defense technology.
Sixth District Delegate Bob Long attended the event and was proud this investment is taking place in district.
“Anduril is bringing cutting edge defense production right here to our backyard, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence, robotics, and virtual reality technology to manufacture critical defense systems at record speed,” Long said.
