National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington reports a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia until 8 p.m. tonight.
“Ahead of a strong cold front, quick moving showers and embedded t’storms will race off toward the east this afternoon & evening. Damaging wind gusts and torrential downpours are the main threats, but cannot rule out a brief isolated tornado east of I-270,” said a statement from National Weather Service Baltimore/WashingtonÂ
