All three 8th District Democratic Delegates Nick Allen, Harry Bhandari and Kim Ross are seeking reelection but all three are being challenged in both the primary and the general election.
The Republican primary is crowded too as five candidates have filed for the 8th District House.
Three candidates have formed a ticket. Republican candidate Glen Geelhaar has partnered with GOP Senatorial candidate Yahu Blackwell.
They added Jacqueline Stevenson and Steven Riemer to the ticket. Brian Campbell and Zulieka A. Baysmore also filed on the Republican side.
Although he wasn’t on the ticket, Campbell could take one of those top three spots on the GOP side.
Campbell has some name ID and campaign experience as he ran for the countywide position of Circuit Court Clerk in 2022.
