There is a new grocery store in the Rosedale area as Rosedale Grocery Outlet opened today at its 1753 Chesaco Ave. location.
An official ribbon cutting was held and the first 100 people won a gift card.
The event was also attended by Senator Carl Jackson who said it was important for the Rosedale community to receive a grocery store.
“I was absolutely thrilled to attend the Rosedale Grocery Outlet ribbon cutting this morning,” Jackson wrote on social media.
“This location, which had previously been a grocery store as well, has been empty for some time and there was a real fear from local residents that the area would become a food desert.”
