Baltimore County undertaking safety review of Northwind Road

The Baltimore County Department of Public Works and Transportation will complete a review of safety along Northwind Road between Harford Road and Ferguson/Magledt Road, Councilman David Marks announced today.

In an email to Councilman Marks, the agency said the following:  “Our Traffic Engineering staff will review the requested segment of Northwind Road between Harford Road and Ferguson/Magledt Road, with particular attention to the areas identified in your correspondence.

The evaluation will consider relevant traffic and roadway conditions, including speed, volume, and crash data, to help identify any appropriate next steps.

Detailed traffic evaluations generally take approximately 4–6 weeks to complete. Once our review is complete, we will share our findings and any recommendations resulting from the assessment.”

Councilman Marks thanked the Department for its assistance.
“I would like to thank DPWT for taking the concerns of many neighbors so seriously,” Councilman Marks said.

“Traffic safety is clearly a priority for many residents, which is why there has been support for the three signals approved in our district this year.   I welcome any recommendations from the Department.”
