Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) reported one of its maintenance vehicles was struck by a tractor trailer on northbound I-95 at the Eastern Avenue exit on Tuesday.
It was reported that three MDTA maintenance workers were cleaning up litter, saw the crash coming and jumped out of the way.
All three crew members and the tractor trailer driver were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
MDTA reminds everyone to remain alert.
“Always move over or slow down, obey posted signage and stay focused on the road ahead at all times when approaching work zones. They want to get home too,” said a statement from MDTA.
