Armed Suspect Shot by Essex Homeowner

Baltimore County Police reported a fatal Essex shooting on Saturday night.Officer responded to the 1000 block of Middlesex Road on Dec. 9 around 9:45 p.m. where they located an adult male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminarily, detectives believe the armed suspect was attempting to gain access to the resident’s home.

The homeowner discharged his firearm, striking the suspect.

While detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this case, they ask anyone with pertinent information or surveillance in reference to this crime to contact homicide detectives by calling 410-307-2020.
