The State Highway Administration will begin a Quick Build safety installation at the Old Eastern Avenue/Seamaster Road. intersection with MD 150/Eastern Boulevard on Monday, May 18.
Work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers should expect:
• Shoulder closure on eastbound MD 150
• Single right-lane closure on Old Eastern Avenue approaching the intersection
• Temporary signs and traffic delineators near the southeast corner
• Adjustments to traffic signal timing
Once complete, right turns on red will be prohibited from both lanes of the double right-turn movement from northbound Old Eastern Avenue to eastbound MD 150.
SHA traffic engineers will monitor the intersection as part of the ongoing MD 150 Pedestrian Safety Action Plan, which focuses on improving safety for drivers, pedestrians, and all travelers along this corridor.
Please use caution, give crews room to work, and plan for minor delays.
