Baltimore County Councilman David Marks gave an update on the water main break at Belair Road and Rossville Boulevard in Nottingham on Wednesday.
“A contractor working on a storm drain project on behalf of the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) inadvertently damaged an existing 24” water main and notified Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW).
“Water service has not been disrupted; however, DPW will temporarily shut down the water main, starting at 11 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, June 26, to accommodate initial repair work.
“Water service will be temporarily interrupted in the 7900-8300 blocks of Belair Road. DPW is providing water service interruption letters to the affected residents and businesses, including the following:
• Ideal Image Auto Salon
• Mattress Warehouse
• Bel Air Beltway Village Shopping Center
• Mr. Tire
• IHOP
• McDonalds
• Weis Shopping Center
• All Addresses on Klein Ave
• Jerry’s Toyota
• Fullerton Pub and Liquors
• Enterprise
• Self Storage
• Walmart
• Bel Air American Freight Appliance Repair
“A second water shut down will be needed to finish the repair work.”
