Baltimore County Councilman David Marks announced that a new concept plan has been published for the 22-acre Gerst Road park site, now known as “Honeygo Glen.”
The concept reflects feedback from more than 600 residents who scored what they liked in four earlier designs. About 77 percent of respondents lived in Perry Hall or White Marsh.
The concept includes mostly passive and natural elements, as well as pickleball courts, a pavilion, and trails.
The Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks will now hold an in-person community input meeting in August, time and date to be announced.
“I would like to thank County Executive Klausmeier, Acting Director Bryan Sheppard, and the Department of Recreation and Parks staff for their support of this park project, which will be a beautiful new addition to northeastern Baltimore County,” Councilman Marks commented.
“I would also like to thank Senator Jennings and Delegates Nawrocki and Szeliga, and the White Marsh Recreation Council for financially helping to put this over the finish line when the property was purchased.”
