It is with profound sorrow that we share the passing of Baltimore County Fire Department Fire Lieutenant Raymond Vargas Jr., who died in the line of duty on March 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. We will never forget Lieutenant Vargas’ dedication to the fire service and his commitment to protecting Baltimore County.
Throughout his career, Lieutenant Vargas served with honor as a skilled firefighter, mentor, and friend to many. His impact on the department and those privileged to work alongside him remains profound, and we deeply feel his loss.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lieutenant Vargas’ family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
