Perry Hall Softball Defeats Sparrows Point 12 to 3

Perry Hall Softball Gators bounced back in a big way as they propelled past the Sparrows Point Pointers on Monday in a 12-3 victory.

Madison Carl led the offensive attack going 4-5 at the plate collecting a single in the 1st, 2nd, and 5th innings and a triple in the 6th. She drove in 3 runs on the day.

A single in the first inning by Shal Lopez scored M. Carl and an error on a pop fly from Addison Dunlap scored Lopez. The Gators added a run in the second after Amber Deems singled and Madison Carl drove her in on a single. Rileigh Kitchin led off the 3rd with a double and Amber Deems drove her in on a single taking the lead 4-1. The Gators had a big 6th inning scoring 6 runs on 5 hits.

Lopez, R. Kitchin and Kylie Smith led off with a single each. Jenna Neff drove in a run on a sacrifice fly. Deems reached on a dropped strike 3 which resulted in a throwing error and plated another run. Kam D’Amico reached on an error, scoring Deems. M. Carl crushes a triple, scoring one and Savannah Carl hit a single pushing M. Carl across the plate.

Overall, Perry Hall tallied 15 hits and 5 stolen bases. Defensively, the young ladies cleaned up their game and were perfect in the field. Jenna Neff earned the win for the Gators allowing 3 runs on 5 hits through 6 innings. She struck out 4 and walked 1.
