Sp. Point, Dundalk & Kenwood Football Seasons End on Friday

The second round of the MPSSAA concluded on Friday. Perry Hall defeated Towson on Thursday, but Kenwood, Sparrows Point and Dundalk’s seasons came to an end on Friday night.

Fallston 35 Sparrows Point 11
Sparrows Point fell behind 21 to 3 at the half in the 2A/1A playoffs. The Pointers scored a touchdown in the second half as Quarterback Javier Guevara scored on a 1-yard touchdown run, but that was all the offense for Sparrows Point.

Broadneck 17 Dundalk 6
The Owls were leading in this game 6-3 after Dundalk quarterback Micah Williams scored on a 50-yard touchdown run in the early season quarter. Broadneck took the lead 10-6 before halftime and scored a third quarter touchdown to seal the game 17 to 6.

Mervo 56 Kenwood 0
Kenwood’s season also came to end as they were shutout against Mervo on Friday night. The Bluebird defeated Digital Harbor in their first playoff game but losing to another Baltimore City school.

Perry Hall learned that they will host Leonardtown in the state quarterfinals. The Gators were reseeded number one in the 4A/3A bracket. If the Gators win next weekend, they will host the winner of the Suitland-Mervo in the state semifinals.
