Campaign financial reports were released in mid-May and here is a look at the financial reports of some of the candidates in the Baltimore County Executive race and the two vacant County Council seats in Dundalk/Edgemere and Essex/Middle River.
County Executive
The Democratic primary is expected to be a four-way race between Julian Jones, Izzy Patoka, Nick Stewart and Pat Young.
As expected, Patoka and Jones lead the way with over $1 million in the bank. Young has over $100,000.
Stewart is the only non Councilman (and non politician) in the race. He raised over $100,000 from Jan. 15 to May 12 and has over $256,000.
On the Republican side, business man Pat Dyer reported over $16,000 in his account and Kim Stansbury checked in around $3,400.
District 8
In the newly created District 8 in Essex/Middle River, Republican Josh Sines is opposed in his primary but that hasn’t stopped him from raising money. Sines raised $48,000 during the first half of 2026. He has nearly $150,000 in his account.
He will need it in the General Election as this should be a competitive battle against the Democratic nominee in November.
Democrat Crystal Cody raised around $10,000 and Sharonda Dillard-Huffman has just below $3,000 in her account.
District 9
Republican candidate JD Urbach reported $29,000 in his account in this Dundalk/Edgemere/ Rosedale district. He received $6,000 from Baltimore County Councilman David Marks.
Fellow Republican Tim Fazenbaker raised just under $7,500 until May and has around $5,000.
Mark E. McCluskey raised around $12,000 since Jan. 15 and has around $12,000. Ed Crizer Jr. raised around $7,200 and just has over $5,000.
Arika Wade, who appears to be the Democratic establishments choice only reported around $2.700. She did receive $1,000 from Congressman Kweisi Mfume and Delegate Scott Phillips gave her $400.
