Delegate Long wants answers on reoccurring water main breaks

The following statement was released by Sixth District Delegate Bob Long about the increased water main breaks in the area.

I’ve reached out to the Baltimore City Department of Public Works and Todd Crandall’s office to find out why these water main breaks keep happening—especially this time of year—and whether anything can be done to prevent them.

This has become a recurring problem that impacts residents, businesses, and commuters, causing unnecessary disruptions and raising concerns about the condition of our aging infrastructure. Our community deserves answers as to why this continues to happen and what the long-term plan is to address it.

If you have any questions or additional information regarding this issue, please contact my office at (410) 841-3458.

Please remember to check on your neighbors, especially our elderly residents, to make sure they are safe and have what they need during this situation.

This is unacceptable. I will continue to seek answers and will share any updates as soon as I receive them.
