The Maryland General Assembly passed a controversial constitutional amendment that will appear on the November ballot that would allow Maryland to change the way it draws congressional districts.
The bill passed along partisan lines, including in eastern Baltimore County as all four Democratic legislators voted for the amendment and all seven Republican lawmakers voted no during the Special Session.
According to Republicans, Democrats want to redraw the Congressional map to take away Maryland’s only Republican district.

“This isn’t over. I’ll keep fighting for fair representation and against this partisan power grab every step of the way.”
