Kamala Harris and Angela Alsobrooks were declared statewide winners for President and U.S Senator and local Congressional races have also been called.
As expected, 1st District Republican Congressman Andy Harris won an eighth term as he defeated Democratic Blane H. Miller, III. The 1st District cover northern Perry Hall, Kingsville and the Eastern Shore.
Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski was declared the winner in the 2nd Congressional race as he defeated Republican Kim Klacik. This seat covers southern Perry Hall, Parkville, Middle River, Rosedale, Essex, western Baltimore County and portions of Caroll County and was held by Democratic Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger since 2003.
In the 7th Congressional District, Democratic Congressman Kweisi Mfume wins another term as he defeated Republican Scott Collier in a district that covers Dundalk, Sparrows Point and Baltimore City.
