Eastern Tech High Named Best High School in Maryland

Eastern Tech High School again took the top spot in the state. The Essex magnet school was ranked Best High School in Maryland by U.S. News & World Report for the second straight year. 

According to the report, the Advanced Placement®  participation rate at Eastern Tech is 87 percent. Minority enrollment at the school is 56 percent, and the report stated 25 percent of Eastern Tech students are economically disadvantaged.

Patapsco High School also made the list at 143. They were followed by Perry Hall at 144.

Sparrows Point (158), Kenwood (167), Chesapeake (170) and Overlea (180) round out the list of area schools.
