Eastern Tech Student Selected as United States Senate Page

David Arowolo, a Grade 11 student at Eastern Technical High School, has been selected as a United States Senate Page by U.S. Sen. Angela Alsobrooks.

Only 30 Senate Pages nationally are selected for each session. As a Senate Page, Arowolo will live and work in Washington, D.C., and attend The United States Senate Page School from January 25 – June 5, 2026.

According to page program’s website, the pages’ “shared responsibilities consist primarily of delivering correspondence and legislative material within the Capitol and Senate office buildings, preparing the Chamber for Senate sessions, and working on the Senate floor where they provide assistance during roll call votes, support senators and staff during debates, and carry bills and amendments to the desk.” Senate Pages are paid and live in a residence hall on Capitol Hill.

They attend U.S. Senate Page School each morning before work, and field trips and recreational activities are planned for them after work and on weekends. In addition to his position as a Senate Page, Arowolo, who studies interactive media production at Eastern Tech, is the 2025-26 National Student Council president, a National Youth Council Member of UNICEF USA, student board member of the Maryland Association of Student Councils, and national legislative affairs co-coordinator for Baltimore County Student Councils
