Overlea High School Junior to Serve on National Council

Mujeeb Waheed, a junior at Overlea High School, was recently named one of sixteen high school leaders from across the country selected to serve on the third cohort of the National Federation of State High School Associations’ National Student Advisory Council.

The students selected are involved in sports or performing arts in their schools and will be attending several meetings throughout the 2025 calendar year to provide NFHS student perspectives on high school athletics and activities.

Two students from each of the eight NFHS geographical regions were chosen for the NSAC, all of whom have exhibited outstanding leadership skills, achievements in academics and sports/activities, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.

All students have previously been a part of the NFHS National Student Leadership Summit, which is held every summer in Indianapolis and will take place July 13-17 this year.
