Amy Ryan of Sparrows Point Middle School, was named Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year by the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) Maryland
Ryan has been at Sparrows Point Middle for 29 years.
The National Board-Certified Teacher and athletic advisor spends her career empowering students to build lifelong fitness habits.
Ryan will be recognized at the SHAPE MD Awards Banquet on Saturday, November 14, in Ocean City.
