Kenwood and Chesapeake both pick up their second wins and their first victories since Week 1.
Dundalk has won three straight and Sparrows Point is still undefeated at 5-0
Here is a recap of Week 5 football in eastern Baltimore County:
Kenwood 16 Overlea 6
The Bluebirds pick up their first victory since Week 1 with a 16-6 win over Overlea. Kenwood was led by running back Damon Green’s 175 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Dazmir Giles threw a touchdown to Khalil Wright for the only Overlea score.
Kenwood improves to 2-3 and has a chance to improve to .500 as they host 1-4 Woodlawn on Friday.
Overlea will try to snap a three game losing streak at Hereford on Friday.
Dundalk 49 Perry Hall 21
Dundalk was leading 21-14 at halftime and put the game after a Darryl Reid turnover and then a blocked punt. Owl quarterback Logan Alderson had three touchdowns.
Perry Hall running back Noah Williams scored three touchdowns in the loss.
Dundalk is now 3-2 after winning three straight games and they travel to Parkville this Saturday.
Perry Hall drops to 1-4. The Gators play at Dulaney on Saturday.
Hereford 49 Parkville 48
The Knights lost in a shootout to Hereford. Parkville drops to 2-3 and will host Dundalk this week.
Towson 19 Patapsco 6
The Patriots drop their first home game of the year and are now 2-3.
Patapsco is back on the road at Western Tech on Friday.
Sparrows Point 27 Eastern Tech 14
Sparrows Point is still undefeated after beating Eastern Tech. The Pointers look to go 6-0 but it won’t be easy. They play at 4-1 Pikesville on Friday.
The Mavericks fall to 1-4 and have a bye week.
Chesapeake 28 Loch Raven 18
The Bayhawks improved to 2-3 with a home win over Loch Raven. Chesapeake has a chance to get to .500 as they play at 1-4 Lansdowne this week.
