Kenwood football wins its first game of the season. Dundalk, Parkville and Sparrows Point also pick up wins.
On the other hand, Overlea’s three-game winning streak came to an end and Perry Hall has lost two in a row. Here is a football recap of the 10 schools in eastern Baltimore County:
Kenwood 46 Woodlawn 18
Kenwood finally got their first win of the season as they defeated Woodlawn at home.
Kenwood Quarterback Daz Giles got the Bluebirds off to 21-0 start with a 2-yard touchdown run and two touchdown passes to his brothers Dada and Darryl Giles.
The Bluebirds will try to make it two in a row at Perry Hall this week.
Milford Mill 55 Perry Hall 28
The Gators now have a two-game losing streak after falling at undefeated Milford Mill. Perry Hall will look to get back into the win column to end the regular season as they host 1-7 Kenwood.
Parkville 21 Dulaney 13
The Knights are now 4-4 after defeating Dulaney. Parkville has taken an interesting road this year. They started 2-0, lost four straight and won their last two games. Parkville will look to end the regular season with a winning record at Eastern Tech.
Owing Mills 38 Eastern Tech 0
After going winless in 2023, The Mavericks started off 2-2 but are on a six-game losing streak. Tech will try to get that third win this Friday vs. Parkville.
Sparrows Point 21 Chesapeake 14
The Bayhawks came close to getting their second win of the year but fell short to the Pointers. Chesapeake was up 14-0 after Bayhawk quarterback Camaren Battle connected with Camaran Worsley to setup a touchdown. Chesapeake also had an interception return for a touchdown.
The Pointers tied to game and won in overtime when Logan Alderson threw a touchdown pass to Matt Rojai.
The Bayhawks will try again to get that second win against Western Tech. Sparrows Point improves to 4-4 and wraps up their regular season at Lansdowne.
Dundalk 28 Bel Air 27
Dundalk is starting to get hot at the right time as the Owls won three in a row after defeating Bel Air on the road. Dundalk closes out the regular season at Catonsville.
Western Tech 12 Patapsco 7
Western Tech ruined senior day as they defeated the Patriots. Senior Justin Patterson scored the lone Patriot touchdown. Patapsco falls to 3-5 on the year but four of their five losses were one possession losses. Patapsco play at Pikesville on Friday night.
Hereford 35 Overlea 21
The Falcons had their three-game winning streak snapped by Hereford.
Overlea will look to finish the season at 6-3 as they travel to New Town on Saturday.
Servern School 32 Mount Carmel 14
The Cougars fall to 3-5 on the season after losing at home. They finish out their regular season this Friday at Pallotti.
