Mount Carmel started their season the last week of August but all local BCPS kicked off their seasons on Friday. Here are the results:
Sparrows Point 50 Lansdowne 6
Sparrows Point put up 50 on Lansdowne with five rushing touchdowns and two touchdowns passes from junior quarterback Cody Green in the win.
Green connected with tight end Macin McNew and reciever Zachary Stansburge for the touchdown passes.
Chase Carnahan’s 35 yard td run to got Pointer on the scoreboard early in the game. Brooks Tuohy, Ian Wolfe and Julius Harris each had a rushing touchdown.
The Pointers play at Patapsco on Thursday
Glen Burnie 48 Perry Hall 22
For the second straight year, Perry Hall was easily defeated against Glen Burnie.
Gator quarterback Joey Albright tied the game with a rushing touchdown but Perry Hall fell behind 34-6.
Gator Cody Larson caught two second half touchdowns, including a 35 yarder.
Perry Hall kicks off their home schedule this Thursday vs. Oakland Mills.
Pikesville 14 Patapsco 7
Senior quarterback Wyatt Perry threw a 54-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter but that is all the offense Patapsco would score on Friday night.
Perry and the Patriots were driving down field but Pikesville made a defensive stand at midfield with under two minutes left in the game.
Patapsco hosts Sparrows Point on Thursday.
McNamara 33 Dundalk 6
The Owls started the season against one of the top rated football schools in the state.
Dundalk finally got on the scoreboard on their last drive.
The Owls play at Mount Carmel on Thursday
Eastern Tech 28 Loch Raven 14
Eastern Tech starts the season at 1-0 with a road win. The Mavericks will host Pikesville in their home opener on Thursday.
North Harford 6 Kenwood 0
Kenwood defeated North Harford in the first game of 2025 but lost in the 2026 rematch.
Kenwood has another home game against Long Reach on Thursday.
Mount Carmel 42 Bishop Ireton 0
Mount Carmel improves to 2-0 after they win their home opener. The Cougars host Dundalk on Tuesday in a big Dundalk vs. Essex/Public vs. Private school battle
Seed 56 Parkville 0
The Knights defeated SEED at home in 2025 but lost on the road in the rematch in 2026. Parkville will look for its first win of the season against Franklin
Chesapeake 28 Western Tech 22
For the second year in a row, the Bayhawks opened the season 1-0 by defeating Western Tech. Chesapeake will try to go 2-0 at home against Woodlawn
Overlea 36 Douglass 6
Overlea is off to a 1-0 start after defeating Douglass of Prince George’s County.
The Falcons play Bel Air on Thursday at home.
